Well wont we look'a here. I'm trying color! And of course its not subtle at all. Fun fact: my favorite color is lime/neon green. I use to wear it on my nails all the time. And when I saw this sweater on ASOS I fell in love. The color and silhouette spoke to me. But wearing color (and knitwear!) is totally not common! But new year, new things right?
I've been wearing all black as a uniform for the last (almost) 4 years in the workplace and I don't even mind. Its easy. Black goes with everything. Yet when I critic fashion shows, I find myself loving collections that include color especially bright colors. Stella Jean and Johanna Ortiz have some of my favorite pieces actually, but I'm happy I finally put on some color because it actually looks good and maybe that means more color in my wardrobe.
Also color just makes you happy for Spring. I'm ready for the warm weather, trees, flowers, and just breathing fresh air. I look forward to trying a lot of new things this year, and color is already a big step forward! I'd love to know how you integrate color into your wardrobe and has it ever been hard to for you? Thanks for reading!

Okay, so nobody actually wants this cold to stay around, but if it includes being able to get a few FW 2018 pieces, I'm sure we'd settle for that deal. There are some interesting prints and silhouettes trending this season, and I cant wait to share more from the shows! For now I chose 10 pieces that stood out and that I think will be hits on the racks.

Well, here it is, the
Big 23
?! Okay, it literally was not as exciting as turning 21 but I am here. I honestly thought at 23 I'd be in New York, right after getting my bachelor's in something related to fashion. But I'm not. I thought I'd be two years away from being married with kids, but I'm not (dont worry, I thought this at 13). However I am here. At 23 I'm facing my myself. I am being more honest, realistic, and less hard on myself because I can achieve all these things in my life and there is not a reason to rush anything.
I think millennials are so hard on themselves. We are embracing our creative side and school isn't for all of us. We have a lot of options, yet we still should have it half way together by 18? Hilarious. And knock knock, most people have once said "You'll never have it together, you just have to go for it."
So I'll stop being so hard on myself this year. Sometimes you have to realize you are on your way somewhere rather than thinking you aren't there yet. I know every birthday may remind us of milestones but lets remember we're received another year to keep at what makes up happy and another year to make a difference.

It maybe into the New Year, but not too late to get into the Fall/Winter 2017 trends! Bold women's suits, empowering quotes, and velvet are included in these trends. The one I'm reporting on today is the check print (or Plaid). You've probably seen a few check print blazers on your favorite bloggers because every brand has one, but there are a few ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. Bags and even shoes are included in the trend and there are a few pieces ready to buy below. Are you into the check print trend or pass?

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and got a deserving break off from work. New Years is around the corner and I'm so excited! Getting my blog back off the ground, realizing my surroundings, and fixing what I knew was wrong. This year coming up is about me and learning about self-love. Yes I know, we are so tired of hearing about it, but if you ain't got it... you wanna get you some (lol.)

Winter sucks, lets admit it. But for those of us who feel the trendiest with layers or more pieces on, its fun. The puffer jackets, rearranged denim, and extremely long belts are a few things in style this season and I didn't want everybody to forget about footwear. This edit is for my wild girls, who are over the thigh-high stiletto heel boots, or your basic color staple boots. All links are below the shoes. Enjoy.

2017 is rearing an end and I'm ready to explain and devote myself to this blog (lol). It has been a long year and more than half of it I've spent afraid of life. My health was far from fantastic this year and I'm trying my best to get back to where I was (health wise). But let me share what I've learned, and where I am going.
I have spent the last 5 years here and there with my blog and not committing although I know I'd love to represent and work on my blog full time. I never had full support from people (every blogger can relate) and for a while there I relied on other people rooting for where I was going. I've been working and doing enough to slowly progress in life. I bought my first car this year, began working over 40 hours a week, and you know adulting (that thing we all think we're doing, but not really, but we think so?) While I'm proud of myself, I know the next steps I need to take for my happiness.
I want to move to New York and I want to work in the fashion industry. That is where I'm going. It's all I know and all I need to know. I have my goal and I'm going to work towards it. I don't know if I'll move next year or in three but I know saving and networking are two things I'll work on in the meantime.
My health and career are my focus going into 2018. And I'll leave you with my lesson of the year (this will not be my last post of 2017 lol). Our bodies are stronger than we think,
we are stronger than we think
. I was reaching points this year where I didn't know about tomorrow. I've learned to just live. Nothing else matters. Be happy. Eliminate what serves no purpose. And begin to believe in you. You have the tools, you have the drive, you are the only person who can take you where you want to be.
Oh and outfit details because thats you're here for right (lol).
