"I'll never wear bell bottoms" you said, "That was so 70s" you said, but now you're on Zara waiting for those Extra Flare trousers to be restocked. Just as flare jeans are coming back in we want flare everywhere from the sleeves to the hem of our dresses and Ellery can be one to blame.
The brand founded by Kym Ellery in 2010 hasn't left Vogue and WWD's articles since her first collection. From the street style of editors and bloggers, to her fashion shows, Ellery's pieces stand out and awe audiences. The Flare Pants from the 2014 Ready To Wear collection have created the most buzz. You'll either find them dangerous to walk in or just drop dead amazing, either way you can't look away. The brand has expanded to a recent denim and eyewear line while still creating their flared garments and elongated frilly sleeved tops. And don't worry, if you're not in the range to just snag up one of her $700 pieces, smaller brands have caught on the the Ellery Effect.

The brand is focused on the sustainability of their products while not treating it like a luxury. Styles are very simple including bras with cut outs, bodysuits that you can wear dressed up or down, and t-shirts. While to many people $28 for a pair of underwear may still be too much, remember that you're paying to support a message, and a movement.

This post is the third outfit post that I've done in my five years of blogging. I've always known the top fashion blogs were ones where the author blogged about their outfit. But I enjoy writing, reviewing, and evaluating shows and the trends of upcoming season so outfit posts would come when I felt ready to. By ready to, I mean confident in my outfit, in my surroundings, and photographer, also the right timing. Before we know it, September will be here. And if you don't know what September is, at least to fashion enthusiasts, it's the start of the plethora of Fashion Weeks. Resort and Pre collections allow us to get a sneak peek of what designers are going to show us at their Fashion Week show. With the 70's influence making its way back into our closets, so are the silhouettes and patterns. One pattern, obviously stripes, stands out amongst other pieces in the collections. From bold thick stripes to alternating widths and colors, stripes are in at least half to the Pre collections released thus far. Clover Canyon, Chanel, and Acne Studios are a few labels that have made there way into the "Striped" Trend Report.
