Spring 2019 Fashion: The looks we want to see Lupita Nyong'o, Beyonce, Cardi B, and more in.
Upon every red carpet event there are celebrities we know are going to bring their A game. There are a few who continue to slay through their other events like talk show appearances, performances, or just their everyday life. I decided to do something fun this time around and play stylist for our favorites. There were looks I saw during the Spring 2019 fashion week season that immediately made me think about certain people. From Cardi B to Issa Rae, here are the looks I think we'd love to see some of Hollywood's show stoppers in.

Lupita Nyong'o has been deemed a style star since she wore that sky blue, deep plunge Prada gown in 2014 at the Oscar's. She has proven there is no color she can't wear. From blues to yellows she blesses us her beauty and great style every time. Her arms seems to be her favorite to show off so I remembered this when choosing her looks. I'd love to see her in more pants because she has a great figure, and although she's only 5'5 her legs appear to be really long.

Issa Rae and fashion has been an interesting conversation to us. We knew her on screen and writing talents but never considered her style personality as most of her character has been laid back and cool. Last year she hosted the CFDA Awards and made a fashion statement that has inspired countless celebrities. She has shown that she's willing to try different silhouettes and outfits so I'd love Issa to continue playing with color and fun flowing silhouettes.

Cardi B has came onto the scene and taken over. Following in the footsteps of Lil Kim and Foxy Brown, she has became a figure to big fashion labels. Dolce & Gabbana invited her to perform for the creative director of the brand, Domenico Dolce's, birthday in 2018. Her stylist, Kollin Carter, rarely misses the mark. In 2019 I want her to continue to mix sexy and outrageous and keep us talking.

Angela Bassett is an actress who has inspired many. She eludes strength and femininity. She also reminds us of what taking care of yourself looks like. Her style is very structured and clean. I'd love to continue to see her in pants and suits, but with a spin. Change up the straight lines, give us illusions, and shape.

Break-out star of "If Beale Street Could Talk" captured our attention at the 2019 Golden Globes in a custom blush pink tulle gown by Dior. Like Lupita, her rich skin tone serves as a beautiful canvas for colors. She is young has a very pretty style. Florals and lace fit her well. I'm excited to see her style develop, evolve, and flourish with her career.

Marsai Martin is one of Hollywood's youngest. I'm excited for Marsai this year as her film "Little" comes out in April with Regina King and Issa Rae. For the premiere I can imagine her in a dress bigger than life (maybe a Giambattista Valli number.) This is a big moment for her as she celebrates being the youngest executive producer on a Hollywood film.

How could I make a list and not include Beyoncé? But how could I style like Zerina Akers, her current stylist? Beyonce has been stopping the world every Instagram post. She is a celebrity who celebrates her curves. Most pieces accentuate her hips and her tops cut low and we never complain. Beyoncé is doing amazing but here's some pieces that would look great on her.
Yara Shahidi at the SAG Awards 2019, Photo by Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for Turner
Another young star of Hollywood, Yara Shahidi, has given us countless looks already. Her style is fun and flirty, but she can be throw a few rough seams and cut outs in there and we love that too. Yara pulls off pastels beautifully and high end designers like Prada and Tory Burch have created customs for her. I'm excited to see more of Yara.

Rihanna, oh Rihanna. When it comes to fashion there is nothing she isn't willing to try. Asymmetry, androgynous, sexy, and damn near nude. We never know what to expect. Rihanna gives you a "I do what I want" in feminine pink to oversized dark hoodies. She is definitely a star we look forward to seeing at any event.

This past year Tracee Ellis Ross has expressed her love for streetwear style with skirts and sneakers and jogging suits. She loves her an oversized number and she knows what she wants. Her confidence in everything she wears is admirable and we love her fashion background. She is another person we love on Insta.
