The Top 3's of Spring 2019

The Spring 2019 Fashion Week Season was a rollercoaster ride. With new appointments, party drama, and rushed collections coming down runways, we all needed a break to recollect. I've gathered some top three's that do not included any bad news. Some are opinions and some are actual numbers. Lets start with three new faces who took on their first full season of shows.

TOP 3 NEW FACES OF SPRING 2019

SUBAH KOJ

Living in Australia, Subah Koj was scouted at a Miss South Sudan pageant and was the first African model to open a show for Australia Fashion Week in 2016. She walked for Balmain, Burberry, and Marc Jacobs this season and is a confirmed model for the Victoria Secret 2018 Fashion Show.

ANYELINA ROSA

This model made her debut at the Saint Laurent Fall 2018 show in February this year and took off. Her first shows included Givenchy, Elie Saab, and a few haute couture shows. Cornrows has been deemed her signature look as its shows off her face and many choose this style for her from runway to editorials. Anyelina walked in all four cities this season including being casted for Dior, Missoni, and Rodarte.

KATIA ANDRÉ

Katia is a Brazilian model towering at 5"11 with astrong adrogynous features. She has been modeling for a few years but made her first runway appearance at Jean Paul Gauliters Haute Couture Spring 2018 Show.  She walked for 10 shows this season included Dries Van Noten and Miu Miu.

THE 3 SHOWS WITH THE MOST LOOKS

EMPORIO ARMANI • 168 looks

This show may have been the biggest fashion show of 2019. Including 168 looks, taking place at the Milan Liante Airport, 2,000 guests and a concert afterwards. Emporio Armani outdid itself. From surfer boys to sequined fringe gowns, the sporty and chic mix captivated everyone.

RALPH LAUREN • 150 looks

Ralph Lauren celebrated their 50th anniversary in Central Park's Bethesda Terrance in Manhattan this September. With 150 looks and over 100 models of all ages and nationalities, it was nothing short of spectacular. In the audience was Oprah, Iman, Hilary Clinton, Kanye West and more. The show also included a dinner that benefited the Central Park Conservatory.

BURBERRY • 134 Looks

Burberry's Spring 2018 show was the first one under new creative director Riccardo Tisci's belt as he was appointed in March of this year. He was previously at Givenchy for 12 years. Tisci wants to bring a wider range to Burberry as far as generations.  He said to Vogue he wants to dress the mother, daughter, father and the son. He definitely covered all bases in 134 looks.

Model Aalton Mason showing off some Micheal Jackson moves at Phillip Plein's Spring 2019 show which was influenced by the late legend.


Model Slick Woods walking at the first Savage x Fenty Fashion show pregnant. We later found she  was currently in labor while walking. Another pregnant model also walked the show. Can we get a hell yes for the strength of women?


Models at the Saint Laurent Spring 2019 show walked a runway that was filled with water. Lit up palm trees lined the runway that was backdropped by the Eiffel Tower.
